Tie the eyes first. I usually secure the eyes "extra good" with many extra wraps and glue. Leave a small strip of the rabbit strip hanging back for a tail and wrap the rest forward. Basically this is just a "flesh fly" style fly with barbell eyes. I have used this pattern to catch all 5 species of Pacific salmon, rainbows, dollies, grayling and steelhead. |
