Float trips are a great way to get away from the crowds!   Alaska Downstream offers raft rental packages for all of your float trip needs.  All of the raft packages include; raft, frame, oars and oarlocks, rowing seat, pump, cargo net, cargo platform, 50 ft. bowline, 65 ft. rescue bag, and repair kit.  Daily raft rental rates start at $75.00.  Longer rental package discount rates are available.  Contact us for complete details.

Here are a few popular float destinations:

 

Alexander Creek - 

Float the Alexander Creek from Alexander Lake to the mouth of the Susitna River.  This is the best slow-water trip in Alaska and perfect for the first time floaters.  Excellent fishing for kings and silvers.  Allow 5 days; 2 person minimum.  

 

Deshka River - 

Float from Amber Lake to the mouth of the Deshka River.  Fishing for kings, silvers and rainbow trout.  Allow 5 days; or float to Neil Lake in 3 days; 2 person minimum.  

 

Talachulitna River - 

Raft down the Tal River from Judd Lake to Skwentna River.  This is a river that requires some portaging and has Class II-IV whitewater, but definitely worth it!  Excellent fishing for kings, silvers, rainbow trout and arctic grayling.  Allow 7 days; 2 person minimum.  

 

Lake Creek - 

Raft down Lake Creek from Chelatna Lake to the Yentna River.  This is a very fast moving river with some Class III-IV whitewater.  This river offers beautiful views of Mt. McKinley and fishing for kings, silvers and rainbow trout.  Allow 5 days; 2 person minimum.  

 

Mulchatna River - 

If you are interested in a remote location, than this is the perfect float for you!  Fly over the Alaska Range to Half Cabin Lake and float down the Mulchatna River to Dummy Creek.  Fishing for kings, silvers, rainbow trout, Dolly Varden and arctic grayling.  Allow 6-8 days; 3 person minimum.  

 

Chilikadrotna River - 

Raft down the Chili from Twin Lakes to the Mulchatna and down to Dummy Creek.  You can expect Class II-III whitewater and kings, Dolly Varden, rainbow trout and arctic grayling.  Excellent chances to see moose, caribou and bear.  Allow 6-8 days; 3 person minimum.
